March 8th, the International Women’s Day, is a great opportunity to make women visible who shape the world of STEM with curiosity, creativity and enthusiasm.
Over the past few months, a gallery featuring inspiring women from a wide range of STEM fields has been created as part of our project “Hands on! The STEM Makerspace” at the Lichtwerkstatt Jena. They share what excites them about science, technology, engineering and mathematics and show how diverse and exciting pathways into STEM can be. What becomes clear: the stories are just as diverse as the people themselves. Different backgrounds, different career paths – yet they are all united by the joy of understanding things, creating and experimenting.
We are very grateful to the many women who have shared their experiences and perspectives with us, giving young people insights into the diversity of STEM. And the gallery can continue to grow: if you work in STEM yourself and would like to share your enthusiasm, we would love to hear from you!
Take a look at the gallery and discover inspiring women in STEM here.
