The primary focus of the research group lies on high field laser driven phenomena - ranging from the fundamental to the applied. Research encompasses

  • high intensity laser development and measurement,
  • non-linear phenomena (harmonic generation from relativistic plasmas,
  • strong field QED and quantum vacuum phenomena
  • acceleration of protons and electrons using intense lasers
