Young researchers from different Japanese universities and companies, all active in the field of photonics, met the key players at the Beutenberg Campus on June 13, 2018. Following an initiative of the Japanese-German Center Berlin (JDZB), ACP and Fraunhofer IOF organized a public photonics workshop, including talks by:

  • Prof. Satoshi HASEGAWA (Center for Optical Research and Education, Utsunomiya University)
  • Prof. Maki KUSHIMOTO (Amano Laboratory, Graduate School of Engineering, Nagoya University)
  • Japan_workshop_2018_2_web400Prof. Yusuke SAITA (Information Photonics Laboratory, Faculty of Systems Engineering, Wakayama University)
  • Dr. Wataru SHICHI (Machinery Division, Industrial Research Institute of Shizuoka Prefecture)
  • Dr. Masato SOTOME (Emergent Photodynamics Research Unit, RIKEN Center for Emergent Matter Science)
  • Dr. Rai KOU-TAKAHASHI (Silicon Photonics Group, Electronics and Photonics Research Institute, National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology)
  • Dr. Yu TAKIGUCHI (Central Research Laboratory, Hamamatsu Photonics, University of Tokyo)
