INSTITUTE OF APPLIED PHYSICS - Inaugural lecture by Prof. Lothar Wondraczek

Inaugural lecture by Prof. Lothar Wondraczek

On December 4, 6:00 - 7:30 pm, Professor Lothar Wondraczek will present his inaugural lecture titled "Glas und Licht" at the auditorium of the university's main building.

The scientific work of Prof. Wondraczek spans all areas of experimental glass science with particular focus on the exploration and development of new glass and glass ceramic compositions and surface modification techniques. His main interests are the optical and mechanical properties of multi-component oxide, oxynitride and oxyhalide materials. In his laboratories, Prof. Wondraczek explores structure-property relations with the ultimate objective to provide topology-based tools for the description of non-crystalline solids.

ACP principal scientist Prof. Lothar Wondraczek holds the Chair of Glass Chemistry II at  the Otto Schott Institute of Materials Research (OSIM).
