Forschungscampus initiative "Infectognostics" wins BMBF competition

The call for the cooperative research program "Forschungscampus", initiated in February 2012 by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), intends  to establish long-term strategies and support for public-private research partnerships. Today, federal education ministry Annette Schavan announced the 10 winners out of over 90 applications. Among them, the Jena initiative "Infectognostics", led by ACP scientist Prof. Dr. J├╝rgen Popp, was selected and recommended for BMBF funding. The Jena Forschungscampus "Infectognostics" will establish a broad technology portfolio to develop efficient and quick techniques to identify infectious agents and microbial contaminations.
