The laboratory for Nano & Quantum Optics at the Abbe Center of Photonics at the Friedrich Schiller University Jena seeks to fill the position of a Junior Research Group Leader commencing as early as possible. We offer a full-time position (40 hours per week), offered as fixed term position for five years.

The appointee is expected to establish an independent research group in a modern field of optics. While
this is an open topic call, connections between the new junior research group and the existing research
group for Nano & Quantum Optics and adjacent fields at ACP are explicitly desired. The new junior research group will be associated to the Faculty of Physics and Astronomy. This call is focusing on strengthening diversity in science.

Note that the application deadline is March 22, 2026.

For details on eligibility and the application procedure, please review the original call.
