ERASMUS+ RESEARCH AND STUDY EXCHANGES 2017/18 WITH THE USA

In 2017/18, the International Office of the Friedrich Schiller University Jena is offering travel scholarships within the "ERASMUS+ International Dimensions Program" between four high-ranked US universities and with exclusive slots for students and scientists active in photonics. The program includes short-term research and teaching scholarships (minimum stay abroad 10 days) up to long-term study stays (up to 6 months). All travel and living expenses are covered according to the following scheme:

  • 800 EUR/month plus fixed travel expenses for studens traveling from the USA to Jena,
  • 650 EUR/month plus fixed travel expenses for students traveling from Jena to the USA,
  • at least 84 EUR/day plus fixed travel expenses for scientists and staff traveling from the USA to Jena,
  • at least 112 EUR/day plus fixed travel expenses for scientists and staff traveling from Jena to the USA.

Administrative support and general information is offered by Mrs. Stefanie Waterstradt from the University's International Office. The scholarships are limited in number and will be distributed within an ACP-internal scheme. Please note that the deadline of this first call is May 15th, 2017, while later submissions will still be considered according to the availabilty of slots.
